 50th independence will hold at the Independence Stadium in Bakau. Gambia, a West African country, gained independence from the United Kingdom in February 1965. 

With Banjul as capital, Gambia’s population is a little over 2 million as at April 2013. Wizkid shared a picture of himself with the band in Gambia rehearsing for his performance with the caption: ‘Rehearsal with the band and my people!
